Emerging Alt-Pop Star Blake Rose Reveals New Single "Best Of Me"
Over the past few months Blake Rose has emerged as one of pop's most exciting new voices. Following up on his first two momentous release, "Hotel Room" and "Lost," Rose is back with another flawless single titled "Best Of Me."
Written and produced by Rose himself, "Best Of Me" is probably one of his most personal efforts yet. Rose explores the heart-wrenching truths of what it's like to be close to someone who struggles with drug addiction and explains that with this song he "wanted to give people a snapshot into what that feels like and how devastating it is to watch." Rose's poignant yet poetic lyricism is layered atop anthemic alt-rock-meets-pop production, creating an affecting listening experience.
Since the debut of his project in November, Rose has seen tremendous streaming numbers and an influx of press support. He has quickly racked up over 4 million total Spotify stream and adds on 30+ official Spotify playlists, and his most recent single "Lost" was placed at #7 on the highly-coveted US New Music Friday playlist, no small feat for an unsigned newcomer. Apple have also backed Rose, placing him on their 'Best Of The Week' playlist and premiering "Lost" on Zane Lowe's critically acclaimed Beats1 Show as a #WorldFirst pick.
