DOPEST Song of the Week: "Kelsey" by Taylor Briggs
Our new selection for DOPEST Song of the Week, “Kelsey”, comes from Boston based pop singer-songwriter Taylor Briggs. “Kelsey” appears on Taylor’s newly released EP, “Painting Pictures”, and is about a real girl at his school, the Berklee College of Music, who is a super talented jazz singer that he was really taken with.
In Taylor’s own words about the song, he says, “She was in my songwriting class and didn't really notice me. The song was a random songwriting assignment to do. It was super awkward having to play and sing it for the class with her in it after finishing it, but everyone including Kelsey really liked it. I think its one of my better songs.”
