CHH Artist Deonte Hall Inspires With His New Track "GOD Over Money"
Mark 8:36: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
New to DCWS is Deonte Hall, an ex drug dealer with a message for the streets through his music. Deonte is definitely someone who can identify to the struggle of people who may have grown up in the streets and been involved in gang violence.
Over the years in Deonte’s hometown, Kalamazoo, Michigan, he witnessed so many lives of teens and people he grew up with in his community be taken due to the high volume gang related activity and violence.
In July of 2010 Deonte got caught up into a lot of legal issues that caused him to be incarcerated for some time. As he sat in a jail cell, Deonte began to ponder about his life and his future and he wanted to make a positive change and do better for himself; he just couldn't figure out where to start.
Later in April 2011, Deonte met a pastor who was out doing street ministry who had shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with him, and Deonte had made a decision to accept Jesus as HIS personal Lord and Savior.
The recently released “GOD Over Money” is a song about how Deonte made the decision to stop selling drugs, repent and give his life to Christ. Even though it was a struggle because Deonte needed money, he chose to put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ and chose to put God over the money.
“GOD Over Money” is an inspirational anthem and a real life testimony in hopes that it will be a blessing and encouraging message to every listener out there.
