We connected with multi talented London based pop singer and actress Andrada for an exclusive interview to discuss her new single/video “I’ll Be Lovin’ You”. During our conversation with Andrada, we also had the opportunity to pick her brain about what she enjoys most about being an actress, which craft she finds to be more difficult, her musical and acting goals for 2020, and much more.

If you had to describe your music to a stranger in three words, which ones would you select?

Vibrant, infectious and bold or as I like to say- pop with a twist!

You're not just an artist, but an established actress as well. What do you enjoy most about performing in front of a camera?

I absolutely love having the opportunity to let myself be vulnerable and tell someone else’s story through my own words. Movies, musicals and plays always have an impact on me and I like to believe that I can have that same impact on other people when they watch me perform.

Being in front of the camera can be quite stressful and intimidating, but the ultimate goal is to be able to ‘stare into the audience’s soul’ and make them laugh or cry with you.

Would you say that one craft is more difficult than the other, as in acting vs singing?

They both can be emotionally and physically draining, but I would say that acting can have more of an impact on my mental state. Becoming a character and truthfully portraying another person can be very hard and sometimes affects me even after the ‘curtain’s down and lights are off’.

I do love both, but they require a lot of hard work. Even so, I couldn’t see myself or want to be doing anything else!

Congratulations on the release of your new single/video "I'll Be Lovin' You"; both are great. Tell us about how the song itself came together and what inspired its subject matter?

Thank you so much! It’s been a long time coming and I am so glad “I’ll Be Lovin’ You” is finally out. I have to thank Magic Juice, Isabella Szanto and Bogdan Zamonea for making it all possible, as well as Ioana Serban, one of my dearest friends and insanely talented designer who created the outfits in the video which are out of this world!

The song came about quite randomly; I was actually working on a completely different track at the time when the chorus line from “I’ll Be Lovin’ You” just hit me and I had to go along with it. The lyrics are inspired from everyday life- us humans just wanting to love and be loved in return.

Can we expect to hear "I'll Be Lovin' You" on an upcoming EP or album? If so, what can you tell us about it?

Yes, I am working on that. Slowly, but surely. I want to deliver quality material and I am being very careful with every move I make so I don’t disappoint.

My next music video is already done and will be released in Januray 2020. The song is called “Unbreakable” and it has an extremely powerful and important message about self love and embracing yourself for who you are, not who the world expects you to be. It’s a project that I put my whole soul into and I really hope people will empathize with the lyrics and remind themselves that no matter what, they are good enough and worth loving.

With 2019 winding down, what are some of your goals musically and acting wise for 2020?

I am ending 2019 with playing the role of an ‘Angel’ in the production of ‘Anything Goes’ at London College of Music and starting 2020 with the launch of “Unbreakable” which I am very excited about. A lot of work has been put into that so I am hoping for the best.

I have big dreams and plans for 2020, but as my mentor Charlie Walk likes to say- ‘Dreams don’t work unless you do’ so I am constantly training, rehearsing and writing music. I am a 24/7 work machine and I like to get things done one way or another!

I also have a couple of interesting music collaborations and some other projects coming up next year so stay tuned!
