Salute to you on the release of your brand new video “No Way”; it is very intense. Tell us about how the track itself came together.
This is song was originally for a joint mixtape I was doing with another artist. We fell out so I kept it for the right person to get on it, cuz it was too hard to not use. My lil brother pulled up to my studio with Lavono; he asked me to play some of my hard shit for him, telling me he stepped his shit up, I ignored him til I got tired of hearing him talk about it. So I played this song, thinking he was gon choke. He spit the verse and it went crazy, so I put him in the booth. The rest is history. I knew we had to get a visual for this one.
Was “No Way” self-produced? Also, who directed the video?
“No Way” was produced by Fred Nice out of Mississippi and directed by 198V out of Wisconsin.
Tell us about Jerk Village and why it is important for you to be a boss and not just another artist or producer.
Jerk Village is my record label/studio. its important for me to be a boss, cause its nobody’s business to teach you business. Also, because I got younger talented artists on my label looking to follow my lead and show them the way.
If you were on a deserted island and could only listen to one album until you were rescued, which one would you select?
2 Pac - R U Still Down? (Remember Me)
Of all the projects you’ve released thus far in your early career, which one would you say represents you the most as an artist and entrepreneur?
