What are some things that inspire your creativity as a rapper?
Basically the people around me, movies, other music, whether the genre is Hip-Hop, Pop, or RnB, and the things going on in the world influence my creativity in my music. Just being able to see different stories portrayed in different ways helps me to use my talent to tell my own story in a creative and entertaining way.
Atlanta has pretty much been crowned as the mecca for Hip-Hop, and urban music overall. Are there any local artists who have inspired your music or motivated you to continue to get better?
Oh yes most definitely, TI, 2 Chainz, Silento, Soulja Boy, Outkast, Tlc, Ceelo, JD and Ludacris. They influence me because they all produce feel good music and a lot of them are very lyrical. Also, I like Ludacris because of his flow and the way he easily switches from fast paced rap to slowed down.
Congratulations on the release of your new video "Wild Out"; the school scenes looked like a lot of fun. Describe the video shoot for us.
Well it was a brand new experience for me and I enjoyed every bit of it. Collabing with all the students made it most fun. In the video I knew I wanted to show the same hype feeling I had as I was writing the song. The song “Wild Out” is a feel good song that no matter your mood it will make you “Wild Out” and I think the video shows just that with the way we were piped up in class and at the basketball game.
Will "Wild Out" be featured on an upcoming mixtape or EP this spring or summer? If so, what can you tell us about it?
Yes, I'm currently working on a mixtape and I can't say too much about it, but there will be more lit songs just like “Wild Out” that you're bound to dance to and I know y'all are going to love it.
Tell us about how you've been able to maintain your strong academic standing (4.0 GPA) at Westlake High School as a junior, while also pursuing your music aspirations.
Maintaining my grades isn't really the hard part. Ever since I was younger my parents had high standards for me and now I'm self driven and I always strive to maintain good grades. When it comes to the music aspect, I know school comes first and if my grades aren't up I can't go out and perform and to different events. So I keep my grades up so I can.
If you could collaborate on a song with any artist, who would you pick and why?
If I could work with any artist I would collab with The Migos, Lil Baby, Drake, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Kehlani, Ariana Grande, Beyonce, and Nicki Minaj.
