Harp Samuels Combines Neo-Folk and Gothic Synth Pop on New EP "Even There"
Melbourne based singer-songwriter Harp Samuels has released his new EP “Even There”, which is a radical departure from the mystic folk style that helped establish the singer. The new EP is an electronic concept EP that sees Samuels exploring 80's drum sounds and dense synths to maximum effect, creating lush, gothic expanses hitherto unexplored by the songwriter.
His critically acclaimed musical style combines neo-folk and ambience, partnered with a vulnerable and emotive approach to vocal storytelling.
His currently released albums ‘Wanting’ and ‘Breathe’ received widespread radio play around the U.S.A including features on MTV unplugged, The Bluegrass Situation, Popmatters, Nothing But Hope and Passion, Essentionally Pop, Sounds of Oz, The Vinyl District, KUTX (song of the day), and Atwood Magazine who write "Melbourne born Harp Samuels exudes talent and feeling."
In addition to music, Harp is an active filmmaker, award winning photographer and creative artist who loves traveling and is obsessed with beauty in all of its forms.
